Autumn & Holiday Events from Cleveland to Catawba . Saturdays . 2022
This year I was so busy that I missed my Annual Summer Event List…and many of you noticed!
To make it up to you, I have put together a NEW list - an autumn version - giving you some great ideas of things to do every Saturday from now through December.
I started this Annual Event Calendar as a way to share some of the wonderful things that are happening along the coast of Cleveland - from Cleveland to Catawba. Hope you get to try some out!
It’s apple picking season!!! And although Amherst isn’t on the coast of Cleveland, so many of you suggested Hillcrest Orchards as your favorite place to visit in the fall. SO many, that I knew I had to add it to my list!
Grab the entire family for some good, old fashioned fall fun! Pick your own apples, pick your own pumpkins, walk through a corn maze, take a hayride, hang out in the corn box, play on the playground and stop by the Farm Market to pick up fresh produce and goods!
At the time of posting this, apples expected for this date are: Jonagold, Red & Golden Delicious, Cortland & Jonathan
There is an admission fee of $12 per person, ages 4 to 72. Save $2 on each ticket when you purchase your tickets online.
Fall weekends run through the end of October.

It’s a little spooky with a lot of fun! Local taverns decorate for Halloween and people in costumes flood the downtown streets of Put-in-Bay. You can expect frosty beverages, great live entertainment, and over 2,000 revelers in costume. Make sure you don’t miss out by booking your stay now.
*Be careful, because once the event gets close, lodging fills up very quickly. You don’t want to be left out in the cold!
Halloween weekend is obviously a big party weekend for adults all over the country. However, at Put-in-Bay, it has some extra importance. Halloween is the last big-time party event before Put-in-Bay shuts up shop for the season and transforms from a Midwest vacation getaway into a tiny island community.
The main hub for the Put-in-Bay Halloween festivities is, as it so often is with big events at the Bay, Mr. Ed’s Bar and Grille. Mr. Ed’s will be hosting events all weekend, including cash prize costume contests! All of downtown joins in on the fun, with most of the bars joining the festivities with their own events.

Small businesses are the heart and soul of this country.
They’re the places where people with dreams open their doors and show you what fills their soul. They’re the little guys with a big vision. They’re the places that support individuals and families financially.
If you are able, please try to select 5 small businesses to visit on this day.
Support that business owner in the best way you can and make their heart sing!

Add in live music, food trucks, ice skating, a visit from Santa, fireworks and events throughout the city, and you've got a holiday tradition that's uniquely Cleveland.
Fun fact: Throughout the holiday season, Cleveland Public Square is adorned by approximately half a million glowing bulbs, making The Square the perfect spot for photos that reflect the brilliance of the season! @clepublicsquare

I know I’m listing another event for the same day, but the Nutcracker is a holiday tradition and one I don’t want you to forget!
This production, suitable to an audience of all ages is Cleveland’s very own and is one to not be missed. The ballet in 2 acts is based on the original story of E.T.A. Hoffman with music composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The fascination of Tchaikovsky’s score and the suitability of the theme for Christmas entertainment has inspired many choreographers including Cleveland Ballet’s own Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe who has created a version with a twist!
